Fees

Anaesthetic Fees

Fees are applied in one of three ways

Self-Pay

Anaesthetic fees are paid by you (the patient) direct to Chichester Anaesthetists LLP. The anaesthetic fee is determined by the surgical procedure(s) performed and any additional medical care necessary.

Please contact our secretary for an estimate of our anaesthetic fee.

Fixed Price

Anaesthetic fees are included within the ‘package price’ you pay to the Hospital. The anaesthetic fee is determined by the surgical procedure(s) performed, and any additional medical care which may be necessary.

The anaesthetic fee is included in the Fixed Price Package for surgery performed at Chichester Nuffield or Goring Hall Hospitals.

Please contact the individual hospital for a Fixed Price Package quote. The anaesthetic fee is not included in the Fixed Price Package for surgical procedures performed at St Richard’s Hospital.

Please contact our secretary for an estimate of our anaesthetic fee.

Insured

Your insurance company will pay all or part of our fee. Some insurers have not increased their ‘benefits’ to patients for many years. As an insured patient you will be liable for any shortfall of your anaesthetic fee.

A shortfall arises when there is a difference between our anaesthetic fee and the amount (or benefit) which is paid out by your insurance company. You are responsible for payment of any excess, shortfall or top-up fees. The Chichester Anaesthetists LLP will limit the anaesthetic shortfall or top-up fees to a maximum of £250.

Please contact our secretary for any further information.

For each procedure, we charge a specific fee for our anaesthetic service. Insurance companies will pay a certain ‘benefit’ to their customers for each procedure. As insurance companies and policies vary, we advise you to contact your insurer before your admission in order to clarify whether or not there may be a shortfall.
